Module 10:
Dr. Richard Miron, DDS, PhD

Biologics of Ceramic Grafting Materials used in Conjunction with PRP/APRF

  • Initial remodeling with less of an inflammatory response versus allogenic material
  • Ceramic materials with ability to create enhanced bone formation by stimulation of growth factor enhancement
  • Localized delivery of autologous growth factors to the initial wound healing / bone regeneration site
  • Creating an autologous platelet rich fibrin membrane to enhance the ceramic materials handling characteristics
  • Resorbing and non-resorbing ceramic grafting materials
  • Comparison of ceramic grafting materials available and their benefits versus allogenic material
